That is what professional traders do, they figure out what a typical investor would do, and try to produce the opposite.
If you are going to swing trade, or hold longer-term positions, just do your homework (it is essential to making the right decision).
Your homework includes knowing every piece of news on your stock, analyzing pricing levels, monthly charts, weekly charts, daily charts any other economic news and balance sheets are fake but analyze them as well.
The most important thing is to find stock's that follow the trend of the market (Beta = 1). It is easier to estimate which way the market as a whole is going, compared to where an individual stock is headed (in my opinion).
If you day-trade, follow the strategy you learned and never deviate. My first day day-trading a few years ago, my first trade, I lost $400. Want to know why? b/c I followed my gut. The main thing I look at with solar companies is income statements to see if they're making a profit or just going up on speculative hope. I like trends that are sustainable backed by evidence.
If you want something more blue-chip, General Electric (GE) are the biggest manufacture of wind turbines. Although that is only one part of their very diversified business.|||Open a ROTH IRA account and pick up a couple of hundred thousand shares of SPNG.OB @ today's price of .018 and forget about it while the company continues to grow.
