What is a good nanotechnology stock to buy for the long term?
I have 600 dollars that I am planning to spend on a nanotechnology stock, and have researched many different stocks, although I haven't gotten a straight answer from any website. I just want a stable nanotechnology stock that has huge potential to grow in the long term. Any suggestions? Only answer if your experienced please.|||No one can forecast the future. You can take the safer bet and invest in a nanotech ETF, but be prepared to lose most of your money. You can also check their top ten holdings and research those firms. Trading individual stocks is a very risky game, only those who can afford to lose all should participate.|||Nelly, I will give you one option that at present would appear to display an inordinate amount of potential. This may or may not appeal to you so I will let you determine for yourself and as with any investment you should always do your own due diligence. I would expect that since you have expressed an interest in nanotechnology you may already have heard of graphene. Graphene is a substance that is derived from graphite and is the latest research craze. Graphene is made of a sheet of carbon particles that are only one atom thick. To describe what uses graphene is currently being researched for would include super-capacitors, transistors, bio-sensors, military applications, and this is only the beginning of what graphene is being looked at for in terms of usefulness. It is quite possible with some of the recent breakthroughs in research that graphene could replace silicon. In respect to bio-sensors graphene is being added to DNA in an effort to explore the possibilities of earlier diagnosis of diseases and also to help formulate drugs for treatment purposes faster and more accurately. If you check out the sources of which there are a few in my blog I hope this will help you see the tremendous potential offered by this company.
